Srishti Garland Concert Sitar

Unique design prototype

Aged premium mahogany (tun) wood. Kharaj Pancham setup. Fully carved and decorated in colored penwork .  Lotus main pegs with inlaid sympathetic pegs and carved tumba mount. Modern style tarab string outlets. Penwork is dual colored with streamlined inlays on the fret rails.. Features a Jodhpur inspired decoration on the bottom and top tumbas. Beautiful quarter-sawn neck on this one and natural materials used for the bridge, langot & fittings. Natural top gourd. This sitar has been air shipped (as are all of our instruments) to preserve its quality.

This is a prototype that has been aged for 2 years, unfortunately the original garland design was copied during the time Bharat passed away (Sitars Etc.) and several rejects were sold by our fitter rather than destroyed and so that design was discontinued. One only here for sale and it sounds and plays wonderfully, we may reproduce it if there is demand in the future.
