We have waited almost 2 years for this instrument to be made and wanted the best wood possible without an animal head carving on the headstock (don't like them) and to be able to pick it up in India during the annual trip. Here it is, quartersawn neck and tabli, a fantastic instrument! Made to be played in G# to A.  A nice scrolled carved headstock, single color penwork. Modern style mogra/grommets. The footrest or instrument anchor is a subtle carved bird. A beautiful sounding surbahar, the nicest I've ever played to date. Has the trademark synthetic bridges by Barun Ray and a brass langot. 16 1/2 inch tabli, approx. 56 inches long without the case. Comes with a fitted black fiberglass case. This instrument has been air shipped to US from India as all our instruments...Expect shipping to be around $185 to most US locations via Fed Ex but actual shipping charge will be determined upon sale.
