Srishti Musical Calcutta Special custom sitar in Nikhil Banerjee style. The neck has been lengthened to accomodate the extra main string peg. There is an additional upper bridge.

Aged premium mahogany (tun) wood. Fully carved and decorated in single color penwork with an "OM" design on the strikeplate. Rose carved main pegs with inlaid sympathetic pegs and carved tumba mount. Modern style tarab string outlets. Nikhil Banerjee style (as shown) is 1 1/2 inches longer to accomodate the extra peg properly and the extra bridge near the meru (nut) is included. Comes with a fiberglass hard case included in the price. This sitar has been air shipped (as are all of our instruments) to preserve its quality. Formerly called the Grand Calcutta.
