Inlaid Mahogany

Aged premium mahogany (tun) wood. Fully carved with black and white inlay, no penwork. Rose main pegs with brass inlaid sympathetic pegs and lotus main pegs. Modern style tarab string outlets. This design is our own creation based on a sitar I once had in from Benares (Kashi) made by Radhey Shyam Sharma. 7 string Ravi Shankar style layout. Srishti did a great job on this one, very open sound and natural bridges and fancy langot. Look for a teak variation next year. Comes with a fiberglass hard case included in the price. This sitar has been air shipped (as are all of our instruments) to preserve its quality.

$250 extra for Nikhil Banerjee style or $350 in teak wood on custom order only. Gandhar pancham 6 string style available on order also with or without top tumba.
