Aged premium mahogany (tun) wood. Fully carved and decorated in single color penwork with an "OM" design on the strikeplate. Rosewood Lotus main pegs with inlaid sympathetic pegs and carved tumba mount. Modern style tarab string outlets. Nikhil Banerjee style (as shown) is 1 1/2 inches longer to accomodate the extra peg properly. Comes with a fiberglass hard case included in the price. This sitar has been air shipped (as are all of our instruments) to preserve its quality. Formerly called the Grand Calcutta.
