Made from a very nice piece of aged
mahogany. Features natural material for all fittings
and bridges. Full colored penwork, Kharaj Pancham
layout and full decoration. Studio sitars
have gained in popularity over recent years due to
use by Ravi Shankar and Niladri Kumar. There are
many variations of them from cheap plywood to fully
carved mahogany. The volume is about half of a
normal sitar and they're perfect for fitting with
transducers
for amplification. This sitar has a full mahogany body
and is top of the line, as good as the famous name
brands at 50% less. The main strings have mechanical tuners for
convenience and the top chikari strings are using
the traditional friction pegs. Sympathetic pegs have
the best inlaid pegs as used on the full Kharaj
Pancham models. The pictures shown are the actual
instrument in stock.
