Burmese teak from reclaimed wood, over 100 years old.. Custom design in collaboration with with Naeem whos shop is the original and oldest of instrument makers in Miraj, India. Pandarpur gourd, bone inlays around the 1st and 2nd main pegs, top shelf celluloid on the inlays with , nothing has been spared. Main and sympathetic pegs are ebony, the mains are a new ebony rosebud design. The langot post is carved in an elephant design and even the tuning beads are all individually custom made! Jawari is round on ebony bridges by Naushad Sitarmaker. The old teak wood gives it a wonderful full and warm sound, sitars don't get better than this! Includes a fiberglass case and accessories.
