This is the Hindustandi slide guitar ~ Mohan Veena offered by Bhabasindhu Biswas of Concord Musical Industries. Bhabasindhu is the maker of Hansa Veena & Mohan Veena for ALL of the leading musicians including Barun Kumar Pal, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt & Debashish Bhattacharyya. It is his fanciest model

These instruments are of the same type as played by Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and Debashish Bhattacharya. In the Bhatt style it features 7 main playing strings and 13 sympathetics. A very resonant tone and fantastic sympathetic response. The fretboard is hardwood, the main body is Indian mahogany and the top is pine wood. No plywood has been used, this wood combination is the final result of 15 years of trying various combinations and has been found to work the best tonally. Comes with a bar, picks, fiberglass case with wheels, and an extra set of strings.

Ok folks, unfortunately Bhabasindhu passed away recently which was very sad, he was quite the gentleman! I'm getting the Pine body models with top gourd in occasionally depending on the weather/seasons. Best to email me to get on the waiting list.

Getting a few occasionally from Rabi Dey/ Narada instruments. Rabi was the lead craftsman for Bhabasindu. Similar design, very nice response and sound. Working on other designs with another maker as well, will update once available!
