REPAIR SERVICES

We specialize in expert repair and set-up of all the family of Indian classical instruments which use “jawari”: Sitar, Surbahar, Rudra Veena, Tambura and the like. We repair and re-string other instruments such as Sarod, Santor, Dilruba, Esraj, and Sarangi, but do not specialize in set-up of these instruments.

We provide repair services such as re-finishing or repairing french polish, restoring broken or smashed gourds, replicating or replacing missing or damaged parts, etc.

We are expert in the different styles of jawari as appropriate to the different playing traditions and instrument families. We also can provide custom re-voicing of instruments, bridge work, re-stringing and set-up.
